We saw this place many times and decided to try it in order to celebrate my acceptance into nursing school. The portions are good sized and the food is yummy. Some guests complained about the price and while I would say it's pricey, I don't think it's a deal breaker. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and am glad we stopped by. I recommend looking into their daily specials if price is an issue. You'll be glad you did. Thanks for a lovely evening.

Went there for lunch yesterday and iIt's one of the best places for Italian food. I usually order the lunch special lasagna and its only $5.95. The portion is a decent size and garlic bread is included. Dipping the garlic bread into the meat sauce is a prefect combo. The food is great. The restaurant is currently under going renovation to improve the flow. There are TVs along the walls for light entertainment. The staff is wonderful!! They are very nice and courteous. They even split the bill 4 ways, I know some places only do 2 ways. Highly recommend the lasagna and pasta for lunch. Great food, good price.

Went here for lunch and ordered the $5.95 lunch specials. We were seated by the window and handed some menus. Our drink order was taken and we got our drinks within minutes. Ordered lemonade and Coca Cola. For the lunch specials we ordered Sausage pizza $5.95 and meat lasagna lunch special $5.95 with one salad bar for only $1.95. The staff was polite and very friendly and made us feel welcomed. When the food came out it was nice and hot and the portion was huge. The lasagna and pizza was very tasty and delicious. Plus we were served some delicious garlic bread to go along with the food. You need to find street parking so be ready.

Came here for an early dinner. It's on El Cajon Blvd. As we entered the restaurant, we were greeted hello and told to sit wherever we wanted. We sat at a booth. They have lunch specials. To drink, I got a lemonade. I ordered the torpedo sandwich which has salami, ham, cheese, lettuce, tomato, red onions in a toasted bread. The lettuce was sprinkled with pepper which I didn't care for. Sandwich was descent. It tasted great toasted. Service was excellent by the attractive waiter here. He was super nice and explained everything about the lunch specials. He even asked if I needed a refill on my lemonade but I was good on my drink as I was getting full. To me the food seemed average but filling. They don't have a parking lot so you have to park on the street or in the neighborhood nearby. That's always such a negative.

This is a Shout-Out to Christian the waiter I just went in there about an hour ago. I was having a troubling day with the dark shades to match the mood. He was kind and accommodating, including changing the mood of the music and volume. Super sweet, Super kind and that alone is what made my experience there and it wasn't just me others were coming in for take-out and he was juggling everybody and giving them the same attention and respect. Much Love to your business and please send reward him because he is truly a great waiter!!! ** I got lucky and found parking in front. Reasonable prices, homemade cooking. Purchased lasagna, garlic bread, salad, Chocolate cake and pizza.

My friend lives in the hood and said this place has been around a while. It's def a small local neighborhood joint. The service was great and quite attentive. We ordered lasagna, chicken piccata, and spaghetti. All of the food was tasty. The portions were large. But it wasn't life changing in anyway. It was just a "good" meal. The reason for 3 stars is that the "salad bar" was laughable. The pricing was a bit high for the quality. And the seating was so close that every time patrons or employees walked by me they bumped me chair, at one point knocking my drink over. I'd go back if I was in the mood for a solid Italian meal with a very casual atmosphere.

What, two-for-one Tuesdays!!! Etna Restaurant is the best Italian food I've had in San Diego thus far. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, although think they are doing some renovations, and the service was excellent - loved Gloria. To make the experience even better they have two for the price of one on Tuesdays. Therefore, not only were the stuffed shells and chicken picatta some of the best ever, the price was right!!! Now I understand why this is a San Diego landmark and on my list to frequent often.

I was extremely hungry after taking a four hour nap and was too lazy to cook anything, and came across this restaurant on EAT24. I ordered a small mushroom and black olive pizza and it was made and delivered to me within 20 minutes! I was actually really surprised about how good the pizza was. It looked like your basic pizza, super duper greasy too, but the flavor was amazing.
