Osetra Restaurant San Diego

Came here after seeing the restaurant on the SD Restaurant Week List.

The food itself I thought was fantastic. From the Sea Bass, Sea Scallops, Oysters, Poke, Pear Salad, everything was great.

However... the service was exceptionally slow. Not sure if it was because it was a Tuesday night and they were busier than expected or if there was something else going on, but it was annoyingly slow! When the waiter/waitresses were around, they were very pleasant... but their sightings were few and far between.

Here's our timeline:

7:30 Reservations (10 minute wait, no worries, had some beers at the bar)

7:40 Sat Down (no water/bread/menu's)

8:00 Menu Delivered and water served

8:20 Finally someone took our order

8:35 - 10:00 - Food delivered /eaten

10:00 Asked for Check

10:15 Check delivered... check incorrect, blamed on technical difficulties with register

10:30 Finally paid and left

What would should have been a very enjoyable 1 hr to 1.5 hour dinner turned into a 3 hour painstakingly drawn out dinner. I'm glad I enjoyed the company I was with otherwise it would have been unbearable.
