Restaurants in San Diego Near Airport

"I’ve been to Ginji a few times, and they always have excellent food and service. I eat Sushi often and favor seafood, so I can be reluctant to try new restaurants where I might not like anything, but they had excellent sashimi dishes, appetizers, and a wide array of grilled vegetables. They also had plenty of beef and chicken to keep my friends happy, a good selection of sake, a mixed drink (Chu-hai?) my girlfriend loved that was bubbly and delicious, and Japanese craft beer along side the normal draft. The wait staff was very friendly and helpful; when I was here for the first time, they walked through the menu items and how the orders for skewers worked, and they were great with recommendations on both dishes and drinks. The tables have call buttons for service, so you don’t have to try to flag someone down if you need anything. The guy (I think manager?) is very professional and checked in with us to make sure we had good service when he brought out a few dishes. Overall, good food and a great experience. I’ll be back!
